Lydia Dragan- 1969 Grad
OBITUARY LYDIA ANN DRAGAN B.C.L., D.D.N. It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lydia Ann Dragan on Monday, January 31, 2011 at the age of fifty-eight after a valiant and dignified battle with cancer. Most beloved and devoted wife of Walter Sidorenko. Cherished daughter of Michael and Myroslawa Dragan. Dear daughter-in-law of Tatiana Sidorenko. Much-loved sister of John, Stephen (Mary Kalyn), Luba (Nicholas Hladky) and Andrew (Nadine Prevost). Adored aunt of Stephanie, Melanie, Christina, Maxim, Valerie, Jordan, Mark, Katia and Raquel. Lydia also leaves to mourn many relatives in Canada and Ukraine. At the age of twenty-one, Lydia distinguished herself by graduating from the McGill University Faculty of Law. She was recognized by McGill University as being their first woman graduate to be admitted to the Chambre des Notaires du Quebec. Visitation at: on Wednesday, February 2 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, February 3 from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The panachydas will be held at 7:30 p.m. on both nights. Funeral on Friday, February 4 at 9:30 a.m. at Alfred Dallaire and at 10 a.m. at St. Sophie Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, corner of St-Michel and Bellechasse. Special thanks to Dr. D. Melnychuk and the entire staff of 8 NW at the Jewish General Hospital for their kindness and dedication. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Sophie Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral or to the Jewish General Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. VICHNAYA PAMYAT |
