I haven't known this Wolfgang Pontow but we share the same name. I live in Germany only about 60 miles south of Schoenberg where he was brought up. Maybe there's a common family-branch?

Anyway i'd like to send my sincere feelings to my brother in name!

For me it's interesting that there seems to be a branch of the Pontow family in the US and as I wrote the place where the deceased is not so far from where I live. If there is anyone around in the US who likes to find out if our branches are more or less closely related he is kindly invited to contact me.
